Okay, we'll admit it. The girl shown above doesn't look at all like Terry Kluytmans, the gal behind KIDiddles. Call it creative license.   :-)

Terry is a single mom who lives with her daughter, Tiana, on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.

In addition to her work on KIDiddles, she also owns and operates two home-based Web design businesses, Stairway to Webbin' and WakeMeUpBeforeYouLogo.com.

The idea for KIDiddles came about after Tiana joined Terry's family through adoption in May 1994. She wanted to sing to her daughter -- just as her father had done with her -- but was having a difficult time remembering the complete lyrics to any given song. She went online to see what she could find, and came up empty-handed.

She started her own collection of songs through visits to garage sales and second hand book stores, and decided to share what she found. And so, the site was born.

Upon her father's death in January 1997, the site was dedicated to his memory. An avid whistler and kind soul who believed in the good of all, Peter Frewin was a strong influence in Terry's life.

Besides the wonderful gift of music that her Dad shared, he also handed down his incredible stubborn streak. It was to be a major factor in the completion of the KIDiddles site design and its redesign nine years later. :-)

Between her Dad and Mom, Edith, they instilled in Terry a strong set of values, including respect, honesty and loyalty. They taught her to believe in herself, and to thumb her nose at the naysayers who told her she'd never make it. We're thumbin' now!

We've come a long way since our humble beginnings, and owe much of our success to others.

Along with Terry's parents, these folks have gone above and beyond the call of duty in offering support, guidance and the occasional kick in the rear to get this site complete.

Tiana has been the bright spot in each and every day since her arrival in Terry's home and heart back in May 1994. She shares her love unconditionally. Her smile can light up a room; her laughter is contagious. (And she's had the patience of a saint for the past few months while this site has been undergoing yet another redesign.) Love you, Ti!

In early 1997, Terry was struggling with certain (read: most) elements of graphic design when along came designer extraordinaire Joe Gillespie to the rescue. He's an excellent teacher who's since become a very good friend and business partner. Thanks, Jobe!

We'd be remiss if we didn't mention our visitors who go out of their way to help with lyrics searches and other information. Our thanks to all of you.

And, finally, to the singers and songwriters of yesterday, today and tomorrow who make their wonderful music available to the public, and without whom there would be no KIDiddles, we thank you.
