Froggie in the middle
And he can't get out,
He can't get out,
He can't get out.
Froggie in the middle
And he can't get out.
Here's a fly to lure him out!
FORMATION:
One child is selected as the Froggie, and another as the fly. The Froggie sits in the middle of the ring, with the other children, including the fly, in a joined circle around him/her.
The Froggie squats and jumps around in the center of the ring as the other children join hands and circle to the left (or right, if you prefer) while singing. At the last line, the fly steps into the center of the ring, at which point the Froggie has to catch him. (They can go outside of the circle for the chase.)
A new Froggie is then chosen, and the game repeated.
