When at dawn I first awake,
It's Mama's face I see,
Smiling and humming happy tunes,
As she looks in on me.
"Wake up, sleepyhead," Mama says,
"It's time to start your day!"
Then, with a hug and kisses, too,
She sends me on my way.

When the night is drawing near,
It's off to bed for me,
Then Mama sings a song or two,
Or we read a book (or three)!
And when bedtime shadows fall,
I'm always sure of this:
Just as I'm drifting off to sleep,
I'll feel my Mama's kiss.
