Said the Man in the Moon
As he winked his eye:
"Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm-mm.
I've a dozen good dreams,
Would you like to buy?
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm-mm.
I've filled them with
Sugar plums, pictures, and toys
To please all the
Dear little girls and boys,"
Said the man in the moon,
As he winked his eye,
"Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm-mm."
"Yes, I'll have them," I said,
"Can you wrap them tight?
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm-mm.
I will keep them right here
By my side tonight,
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm-mm."
When taking my piggy bank
Down from the shelf,
I woke up to find
I'd been dreaming myself!
I looked up at the Moon,
As he winked his eye:
"Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm-mm."
