To Play as a Ring Game:
Children form a ring, holding hands and circling around while they sing the song. At the beginning of the chorus, any children who wish to impersonate the animal in that verse, can spontaneously go into the center of the ring to act it out in pantomime. The children remaining in the circle continue to sing. (Of course, chances are that everyone will be 'acting' and nobody will be 'singing'!) :-)
